Hi, I’m Laura!

I’m a Registered Dietitian who has dedicated 7+ years studying nutrition in effort to help individuals build lifelong, sustainable habits while gaining confidence. I started working as a Clinical Dietitian at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. I gained so much experience learning medical nutrition therapy related to critical care nutrition, oncology, gastrointestinal (GI) disorders (gastroparesis, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis etc.) to neurocritical care, just to name a few. I had the honor of working along individuals with 40+ years of experience who took me under their wing and showed me the ropes. That role helped to create a solid foundation which served as a springboard into my nutrition career at Penn Medicine + launch my own private practice.

At Penn Medicine, I started as a full time bariatric surgery dietitian, where I found my passion in helping individuals lose weight and feel great. We discussed how restrictive dieting and keto is NOT the answer to long term, sustainable weight loss. Overtime, I watched in amazement as patients shed weight, reversed pre-diabetes, and said goodbye to their blood pressure medication (under the advisement of their doctor).

My love of Women’s health followed next. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) was a common medical history I started to see over + over again. Women would tell me how they have tried to lose weight before, it never worked and they needed HELP. Fluid retention was their enemy and they were TIRED of not seeing the scale budge. We chatted, I provided my recommendations, and they would come back month after month with more confidence as they dropped pounds and inches. And then I became even MORE ecstatic when they started family planning!

Flash forward… Love City Nutrition was created in 2019 and now I am blessed to have the opportunity of continuing to work part-time at Penn Medicine in GI Medicine while further growing my private practice and offering day, afternoon and night time hours to clients!

xoxo Laura
