Homemade Turmeric Latte
Hands up for pretty colored lattes that also fight disease!
There is nothing better than curling up on the couch with one of these lattes, a cozy blanket, a good book and a candle burning on the coffee table. Take some ‘me time’, make yourself a latte and enjoy all of the goodness.
Turmeric is famous for its bright golden color and for containing curcumin, an anti-inflammatory photochemical. Various studies have found that turmeric MAY improve skin health, treatment against depression, influence blood sugar control, and protect against disease.
To make: (yields 2 servings)
Pour two cups of cows milk or dairy free milk alternative into a sauce pot, heat on high. Add in sweetener of choice, 1 tsp of turmeric, 1 tbs of vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. PRO TIP: if you don’t have vanilla extract, use either unsweetened vanilla almond milk or vanilla stevia... it really rounds out the flavor of the whole latte and makes a difference
